Anderson took the technology even deeper than with previous bats by adding such features as a Lexan bulletproof cap, which improves the strength of the barrel flex to create a wider sweet spot, and Taper Flex technology, which perfectly focuses the collision energy between the bat and the ball to keep from stinging the hands. The Matrix also incorporates 32 different parts and a few new technologies, including an internal multi-layer design that allows the barrel to flex and snap back to its original shape faster than ever before. As a result, even traditional light hitters can blast blazing line drives and bombs. Other features include a Snap-Fit ergonomic knob and an ultra-thin whip handle.
