I picked the 28oz version of this bat up last week to replace my older Worth EST bat that I destroyed last season.
(Apparently, if you throw a bat hard enough at the ground after being called out on a pitch to the plate, you can break the weld between the grip and the knob, changing its effective use from a piece of sports equipment to a well-used self defense club.)
Anyways, back to this bat. I'm not a home-run hitter. I don't swing for the fences. I focus more on ball control and poking base hits right over the infield's head. I like my pitches a little high and outside. All that being said, I've always been drawn to the EST bats because they're double wall and have a smaller sweet spot. This one is no exception.
The sweet spot it about 12" long. It starts from the cap and moves toward the grip and ends right before the taper. If you make contact with the ball in the sweet spot, the hit has a nice feel to it. It won't kill your hands like a single...Read more
